Terms of Service - Northbridge Television Ltd

Effective Date: 20 July 2026

1. Introduction and acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the provision of services by Northbridge Television Ltd ("Northbridge Television Ltd", "we", "us", or "our") to customers ("you" or "customer"). By requesting, booking, scheduling, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services. These Terms apply to all quotations, bookings, appointments, and service-related communications unless otherwise agreed in writing by Northbridge Television Ltd.

2. Scope of services

Northbridge Television Ltd provides television-related services, including but not limited to:

  • Television installation;
  • Aerial and satellite setup;
  • TV wall mounting;
  • Smart TV configuration;
  • Signal troubleshooting;
  • TV repair assessment.

We may also provide related advisory, inspection, and setup services incidental to the above. Unless expressly stated otherwise, we do not manufacture televisions, aerials, satellite systems, or other third-party equipment, and we are not responsible for third-party products or services.

Any quotation, estimate, or recommendation is based on the information available to us at the time and may be subject to change if site conditions, equipment compatibility, access issues, or customer instructions differ from what was initially described.

3. User obligations and responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when requesting services;
  • Ensure safe and reasonable access to the property and the service area at the agreed appointment time;
  • Obtain any necessary permissions, consents, landlord approvals, or building management approvals before work begins;
  • Ensure the premises are suitable for the requested work, including access to power, signal sources, and necessary equipment;
  • Disclose any known hazards, structural issues, hidden cables, fragile surfaces, asbestos risk, or other relevant site conditions;
  • Back up or secure any data, settings, or personal content on smart devices before service intervention;
  • Follow all reasonable safety instructions issued by our staff or contractors;
  • Be present, or ensure an authorised adult representative is present, where required for access, decisions, or sign-off.

You are responsible for ensuring that any items you ask us to install, mount, connect, or configure are legally owned by you or that you have authority to have them worked on. We may refuse to perform services where, in our reasonable opinion, the requested work is unsafe, unlawful, or technically unsuitable.

4. Payment terms and conditions

Fees for services will be set out in our quotation, price list, invoice, or booking confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due in full upon completion of the service or upon invoice issuance, whichever occurs first.

  • We may require a deposit or advance payment for certain bookings, materials, or special-order items;
  • All prices are stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise specified;
  • Any applicable taxes, fees, or charges will be disclosed where required by law;
  • Additional charges may apply for parking, congestion, call-outs, parts, extended labour, difficult access, or emergency attendance, where communicated in advance or reasonably necessary;
  • Late or overdue payments may result in suspension of further services and recovery action for unpaid sums.

If an appointment requires materials, replacement parts, brackets, cables, or accessories, these may be charged separately unless expressly included in the quote. Estimates are not fixed prices unless expressly stated as such in writing.

5. Cancellation and refund policy

You may cancel or reschedule an appointment by contacting us as soon as reasonably possible using the contact details below. Cancellations received with sufficient notice may avoid cancellation fees, subject to the nature of the booking and any costs already incurred.

  • Where a booking is cancelled after we have reserved time, ordered materials, or attended the property, we may charge a reasonable cancellation fee;
  • If you fail to provide access, are not available at the agreed time, or the work cannot proceed due to information you provided being inaccurate, this may be treated as a late cancellation or failed attendance;
  • Refunds, if any, will be assessed based on services already performed, costs incurred, and the circumstances of the booking.

Because our services are labour-based and often customised to the property and equipment, refunds are not automatically available once work has begun. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer law that cannot be excluded.

6. Liability limitations

We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. However, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Northbridge Television Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Losses caused by incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information provided by you;
  • Pre-existing faults, hidden defects, or failures in existing wiring, equipment, fixtures, structures, or signal infrastructure;
  • Damage arising from unsafe, defective, or unsuitable customer-supplied equipment;
  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of enjoyment;
  • Delays or failures caused by third parties, utility outages, poor reception conditions, weather, or force majeure events.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with any service, whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise, shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

7. Intellectual property rights

All intellectual property rights in our website content, branding, service materials, quotations, templates, reports, photographs, and documentation remain the property of Northbridge Television Ltd or our licensors, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use any deliverables, reports, or instructions we provide solely for your personal or internal business use in connection with the relevant service. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit our materials for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

8. Data protection and privacy

Northbridge Television Ltd may collect and process personal data necessary to provide services, manage bookings, issue invoices, communicate with you, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations. We will handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our privacy practices.

  • We may retain service records, contact details, site notes, photographs, and invoice information where necessary for business and legal purposes;
  • We will take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse;
  • Where we use third-party processors or service providers, they will only be engaged where appropriate safeguards are in place;
  • You are responsible for ensuring that any third-party data visible on devices or systems we access is lawfully accessible to us for the purpose of performing the service.

If you have questions about how we handle personal data, you may contact us using the details below.

9. Force majeure

Northbridge Television Ltd will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control. These may include, without limitation, severe weather, fire, flood, power outage, supply chain disruption, industrial action, telecommunications failure, transport disruption, accidents, government restrictions, or acts of God.

If a force majeure event occurs, we may suspend performance, reschedule appointments, or cancel affected bookings without liability, subject to any non-excludable legal rights you may have.

10. Changes to terms

We may update or modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. The updated Terms will apply from the date they are published or otherwise communicated to you, unless stated otherwise.

Your continued use of our services after any changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using our services and contact us regarding any pending booking.

11. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in England and Wales.

Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the services provided by Northbridge Television Ltd, or any related matter.

12. Contact information

If you have any questions, complaints, or requests relating to these Terms or our services, please contact us:

13. Severability clause

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court or competent authority, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, lawful, and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision shall be severed.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

By booking or using services from Northbridge Television Ltd, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
